Medical Billing / Transcriptionist

There a lot of ads out there on how you can work at home as a medical biller or medical transcriptionist. The software usually need runs around $150 - $300 and normally says a list of clients is provided.

Unless you already have a medical billing background, or have done some kind of research, you know that you do have to be willing to work at this business. This can be time consuming and can take a while for you to start getting anywhere. Most medical billers that do work at home usually only work for the husbands / wives or there relatives.

The ad normally states there is a list of clients that are wanting your services. This usually isn't true either. You will need to contact this great "list" and see if they are actually interested in your services. The list of your area includes doctors and doctor's office that need your service, but in fact, if you open the yellow pages they are usually the same ones in there.

This oppurutunity is legit and can be rewarding for people that need to work at home, but do not get ahead of yourself. Before you pay the hefty startup fee for the software do a little research. Call around to local offices and doctors in your area and see if they really do need your services, this will save you a lot of time and in the long run a lot of money. If there are no doctors or offices that need your services why would you pay the huge start up fee?

Before you invest all your money into a "great oppurtunity" ask them to give a list of previous purchasers so you can call and talk to them. Be careful of these calls and they may have a list of people hired to give favorable testimonials in order to get your money. These companies charge hundreds or even thousands of dollars to get the software and the kits you need to begin.

Again, before you purchase the software and kits be sure to do a little bit of research. Find out the company that is providing the software, and then do a little bit of research on who you will be working for. Most office and doctors do there own medical billing or hire a firm to do it for them. Go through the yellow pages and call some offices and see if they need your service, if they do than you have a chance to start making some money, but if they don't, don't waste more money again.

I give this job a 2 out of 5. This is a legit business, however, there are a lot of scams out there to get your "startup fee" and run. Make sure you do your research before throwing down your money or you will be another victim of these scams. This is hard business to start up though, and many people fail and lose thousands of dollars trying to grow. You have to be patient and willing to work.

Update on Data Entry Jobs!!

Alright well as most of you know I don't support any products or ways to make money unless they work. I receieved an email from Selocan, a reader who has been looking for data entry jobs for awhile. I have only tried a few of these programs only to lose around $350. So instead of sending you to a hundred sites that I haven't tried only for you to get mad at me, what I did was I went on another search for a data entry program. 150 Pages and $200 later here I am.

Some legit programs you do have to pay for in order to get access to there members area. I actually paid my brother to help me try out some of these programs as well. Many of these companies promise hundreds and thousands of dollars a day for a little bit of work. Obviously this is not true, or i would be typing there instead of here as would most people.

Out of all the programs I have tried there are two that have stood out above the rest. work-at-home-data-entry.com is a really good site.

It doesn't promise thousands of dollars a day and it even tells you that you really do need to work a little bit to start. I have started using this program and it says you can make $300 a day, I have actually been able to make around $200 a day without much effort. My brother is doing around $250 a day but he works a little bit more than I do. This program is really great and I stand by it day after day. I give this product a 5 out of 5 because it is a legit data entry job and anyone can do it! It does take work to start though, just like everything though, but you can do it!

The second one I tried is data-entry-jobs.com. It is a very good site as well as it offers tons of support and even more bonuses such as more information on blogging for money and the like. My brother tried this one and said he like this one a lot, however, i didn't find it to be great, but I still made some money doing it. I give this product a 4 out of 5, as it is good but I still personally prefer the first one.

Both of these products offer a 100% 30-day refund policy which is another reason why I am promoting them. If you cannot make money doing these then they will refund all your money back. You don't need to spend another $30 - $50 on something else that won't work so refund policies are a great way to make sure its not going to kill you.

If anyone has any questions feel free to respond in a comment or email me at
sh0ck3rz@hotmail.com and I will try to get back to you as soon as possible.

Gambling

Gambling is a good way to make money...but also a good way to lose money. There are many many places out there to play for poker online for money. I actually play for maybe an hour or two every night.

If you have an addiction problem do not start playing. If you are risking the rent money, gas money, or any other bills to play, STOP PLAYING! I take $20 every sunday and put it into my account. If i lose it all, I play with play money, if i am even or up on sunday, I don't put anymore in.

I play full tilt poker because I do have an addictive personality(see gaming for money below :D ). But i have learned to control it. People are attracted to gambling because they can risk a little and gain alot.

But, when you risk a little, and a little more, than a little more, it becomes a lot. If you have never played poker, or even if you have played before, I would recommend playing for a week or two using only play money. That way if you lose, it doesn't matter.

There are tournaments and such you can play with play money that pays you real money if you win. That is a good way to start so you are not risking any money out of your pocket. Also, i would recommend reading up on a few gambling articles just so you are familiar with more ways to win, and more ways to avoid losing it all.

PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU HAVE A VERY ADDICITIVE PERSONALITY I WOULD NOT EVEN BEGIN TO PLAY POKER!!

I give this oppurtunity a 3 out of 5. There is a chance you can win, and a chance you can lose. Please read up on some articles before playing, and start with play money. If you begin betting the rent money, bills, or any money that is not spendable, STOP PLAYING!!

Playing games for money

Everyone likes games right? Well there are ways for you to play games for cash! However, its hard to come across legit offers. If you want to play games for more than a few cents, you will have to start training.

Playing games for money may sound like a fun idea, but its hard. To actually get all the good cash and prizes you will need to compete in tournaments and the like. I'm not saying you can't do it, im saying it will be hard. Personally, when Halo first came out I actually won a tournament in Pennsylvania with one of my friends. We got $3000 in cash and a 40" plasma TV.

You can find tournaments online for a lot of games. Some will give cash and prizes to the winner(s). A few games that have been played for serious cash: Halo, Counterstrike, Everquest, and World of Warcraft.

The first two are first person shooter games. Meaning your playing in first person (through the eyes of the character) and its a shooting game (you blow shit up).
These are easy to see how you make money in: 1) become good 2) go to tournaments 3) win.

However, some people wonder how you make money playing a third person role playing game. Maybe you know a friend who plays one of these games and you have heard them say "i would seriously give $20 for this item" or "i would pay $50 for 1000 gold". I do not condone these ways of making money as it cheats legit players out of certian things, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

When I used to be addicted to World of Warcraft and dropped out of high school, lost my job, my fiancee, and all the spare time i ever had, I used to sell gold and items I had / found on ebay or to other players I knew. It wasn't a huge income, but with no bills and not paying $4/gallon for gas, it was decent. $500 - $2000 a month goes a long way when your only paying $15 a month for the game.

There are legit ways out there to make money playing games, but if you want to make serious money you have to practice. Serious players spend at least 5 - 18 hours every day playing the same game. However, anyone can do it.

I give this oppurtunity a 2 out of 5. This is harder than all the other legit ways to make money, but you can meet some great people and have a lot of fun! I don't have any links for you to go to for these oppurtunities as I do not do them right now, but if I found any I will update this.
