Writing for money

Another great way to make some extra money is to begin writing some articles and submitting them for money. This is a fantastic way to make money if you love to write, but anyone can do it.

You don't have to be the greatest write to make money doing this, and many people make a lot of money each month doing this. Your articles should be about 300-1000 words which many people can do in 30 - 40 min. Most people can usually write about 15 articles a day like this.

There are two very good places you can start making money almost immediately. Associated Content is more of a beginners place to start writing. You will make money there and if you don't write a lot this might be a good place to start. As they do pay less, but they do accept articles of lesser quality than other places.

You like to write but can't think of anything to write about that people will be interested it? Simple solution. Write about anything! Try to write about things that you have personal experience or a good knowledge of. For example, I used to play World of Warcraft and had an addiction to it, and also a drug addiction. I wrote an article comparing the two.

Another place to write for is Constant Content. This company is for the more professional writer and articles that are submitted to get rejected a lot more. This company does pay a lot higher around ($20-$50) compared to AC which pays around ($5-$20).

The content however has to be good, correct spelling and grammar, and must be original work. DO NOT PUBLISH SOMEONE ELSE'S WORK! IT IS ILLEGAL! If you caught of plaguerism, not only is it illegal, but you may be fined or even sued by the original author.

These companies have a good record, and are a very good way to start to make money. Even if you can only get online once in a while, you can write articles anywhere! When you are in your car stuck in traffic, start writing! When you get home you could have one or two articles done and you did it in your spare time!

First of all you need to create your blog. A blog is a user-generated website where entries are made in journal style and displayed in a reverse chronological order. For example, this is a blog. Blogs often provide commentary or news on a particular subject, such as food, politics, or local news; some function as more personal online diaries.

A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic. Choose your topic of discussion and publish it. Now that you have one, you have the power to let the virtual community see and read your blog. Another feature of a blog is its ability to give the readers the opportunity to leave comments, making it very interactive in nature.

Making money through blogging is all about having more people visit your site and read your blog. First and foremost, you can encourage people to visit your blog, but the numbers won't mean anything if you don't keep them coming back for more. You'll need to provide useful and relevant content. It's not enough to provide the same substance as every other blogger, or it won’t attract much attention. You'll have to come up with something new and unique and provide thought provoking analysis.

Your blog has to say something and say it well. It doesn’t mean that you have to be expert at the field you just have to make sure that your talk about your topic and the readers would be interested in it and would comeback for updates.

Once have established traffic on your blog its time to monetize it. Here are a few ways you can make money by blogging:


Pay Per Click Advertising - You can earn a decent income through Google Adsense or other pay-per-click advertisers. While some bloggers report earning a meager income with the pay-per-clicks, it's indeed possible to earn up to six figures. Installing Adsense on your blog is easy; it's just a matter of pasting code on your website. Every time a visitor clicks on one of the links in the ad, you'll earn a percentage of the ad revenue. If you have a popular blog, you can do well.

Flipping Blogs - This has happenes both on an individual blog level but also on a network level (the most famous of these being the 8 figure sale of Weblogs Inc to AOL).

Donations - Some bloggers report earning hundreds of dollars through tip jars alone. Some bloggers place "tip jars" on their blog's sidebars. Tip jars are donation buttons leading to the recipient's paypal account. While this isn't recommended for every blogger, those who put in hours to provide a useful service are certainly rewarded.

Growing Your Blogging Business Over Time
Invitation only sites such as Blogads sell ads for placement on high traffic blogs. Bloggers receive a flat fee for every ad sold. The bad news is that Blogads doesn't accept just anyone. If you don't know anyone who can offer a recommendation on your behalf, you could try emailing a request to be placed on the waiting list.

Affiliate links are another way to make money on your blog. It's not as easy to earn with these advertisers as with the pay per click programs. Still, some do well. Many online retailers will pay a percentage of a sale if it results from an advertisement placed on your site. Amazon.com offers a program, or you can visit an affiliate super-site such as Commission Junction to find retailers catering to your particular blog. The flashing, colorful ads are a turn off for many because they're so distracting. Fortunately you can choose codes for the ads that work best for your site.

I give blogging for money a 4 out 5 as everyone can easily do it and the only thing you need is to get targeted traffic to vist your blogs. There are thousands of topics for you to write about and everyone loves to read different things. Find something you know a lot about or something that interests you and start writing about it! This is an excellent way for people who love to write to earn a little bit of extra income every month!

Assembling Items at Home

Just like data entry jobs, 90% of the work at home jobs are a scam. They also require that you send them a fee for startup - usually $19 - $97. Well I for one am not going to pay to assemble something for anyone.

Normally what happens in these types of scams is this - You send in your start up fee, you will get an item in return to assemble. Sometimes you may also be required to purchase more items such as a sewing machine other items from the company, thus you lose more money to them. You will send it back and instead of receiving a payment, you will get a letter saying the item you made is not up to standards or it was damaged and you will not be getting paid. Now I don't want you to go think, oh I am good at assembling things, it won't be a problem.

Your right it won't be a problem for you to assemble these items, just a problem to get paid. You never get paid, I don't care if you made the greatest work ever. I know there are few assembly jobs out there that are real but like i said, 90% of them are scams and you should be very cautious of these sites.

I am giving these products a 1 out of 5. The reason it's not a 0 is because there are legitamate buisnesses out there that pay for this, but you will not be able to find out online which ones are legit and which ones are not. Proceed with caution and if you have a site you think is legit, email me and I will check it out!

Envelope Stuffing

Want to make $3 - $10 for every envelope you stuff and mail out. Well I do to. An envelope takes around 15 seconds to stuff. $5 per envelope for an hour would make you $540 an hour. Do you know who makes $540 an hour? Working 40 hours a week that would make you a 7 figure income. Wouldn't a 7 figure income be nice for stuffing envelopes? I'd settle for $2 to stuff envelopes, but lets face it...it's not going to happen.

All those envelope stuffing ads you see in newspapers, magazines, ads on google/yahoo. They don't work. Period. You send off your $27 - $49 +$5 or $6 for "express shipping" and what do you get in return? They promise you thousands of dollars a week and a 6 figure income to work a few hours a week, so what do you really get in return? Usually, nothing, sometimes ads to place in the newspaper or online and do what you just did, get scammed. So in short, ask yourself these 2 questions:

1) Do you even know anyone who stuffs envelopes from home? No you dont because no one does it.
2) If everyone could earn a 6 or 7 figure income from stuffing envelopes, wouldnt everyone be doing it? I know i would.

I give these scams a 0 out of 5. Honest people have been looking for work like this and they only loose more of there money. Some people can barely scrap together the $40 to send off to the scammer. And for these reasons are why i have started this blog.

Pyramid Schemes

Turn $6 into $15000 in 30 days? How about you turn your $6 into a $50,000 fine and perhaps a jail sentence? The famous pyramid schemes using mail or paypal to send $6 to 6 people than place your name on the list. They work like this:

1) Name
2) Name
3) Name
4) Name
5) Name
6) Name

Some people don't like that because they don't see one dollar as profitable, so they will redo this and place 3 names on the list, usually three of there own names, and say mail $2 to each person.

You would send 1$ to each name on the list, then bump everyone up one and your become number 6. Then you post your new list in 200 message boards hoping that people read it, send you money then do the same. Now first off, why would i send you money if i can just add my name, second why cant i delete it off and add 6 of my names, third, if i can do that, why can't anyone else? Which is why these do not work, first, they are illegal no matter how much people try to make you think they are not. Paypal will delete your account, and you may be fined.

Any Exchanging money like this is illegal and you may even end up in jail. Yes you may send your $6 out to be honest and place your name on the list, but lets hope there are enough people out there that send you money before you need it to make bail or pay a fine. If you post messages like this in message boards, you will get banned from the boards, you will get flamed, and some people will nicely tell you that this isnt the subject where you should be posting it at...others wont be as nice.

So please if you see chain letters going around about "Turn $X into $XXXXX as seen on oprah and 20/20" delete it and forget about it. Its not worth it and you wont make any money back.

I give these people a -1 out of 5. This is illegal and you will get your paypal deleted, your email deleted, any message boards you posted in they will ban you and delete your message. Not worth it.

On a second note think of it like this: Normally if people promote "this is not illegal, or do this and its not illegal" it probably is illegal.

Buying and Reselling Products

Another type of home based income is buying and than reselling. You can find a lot of products out there that you can buy and than resell using your own website. You can find a lot of products by going to google and typing in 100% resale rights. Some programs you can buy for around $1.00 - $20.00 and resale for the same amount so you get your profit back after one sale.

The problem with this is sometimes you can't find anyone that wants what you bought. The easiest way to get sales is to start off by doing a little bit of free marketing. Sending out free solo email ads are a great way to get your first one or two sales. After that you can afford to send out targeted email lists to make even more sales. I have had some huge success re-selling programs.

Adblasters are a very common product to resell, in my opinion. The reason i like reselling these are because when you buy them, you have even more options to use to do your marketing.

Lets say you buy www.kashadv.fateback.com/, which is an Adblaster that lets you send your ad or webpage out to over 75,000,000 people. Lets say you have a .005% return rate, average return rates are around 1% - 10% depending on who you contact, but with a .005% return rate is 375,000 people. Lets say only .005% of them buy, again very low but thats 1875 sales. 1875 sales at $19 each = $35625. That is only one example of how buying and then reselling products work. There is no guarantee that you will have even a .005% return rate or buy rate.

There are tons of products and e-books that you can buy then resell using your other products as well. This is a good way to start off for very low cost as you can buy cheap marketing products and when you make a few sales you can buy more products and use your marketing products to advertise those as well! It is a very good system and you can make quite a bit of money as well.

The key to this is Marketing and Advertising. Most sites will also offer to set up a webpage for you for an extra $10 (one time fee) so you do not have to worry about keeping up with domain costs. Or, you can pay $24.95 a month for the same results somewhere else!

I give this program a 4 out of 5. It is a good way to start generating some income, but you may not see profit for a few days or even a few weeeks. Adblasters and Traffic generators may be a good thing and a cheap thing to invest into to start.

Affiliate Marketing

First, please do not go spend $10-$150 on a book about affiliate marketing. Yes affiliate marketing is a very profitable business, but you do not need to pay for a book on how to do it. The process is actually very simple:

1) You find a product you want to promote
2) You use a referral ID to promote the product
3) You advertise and everytime someone uses your link to make a sale you get paid

There, if you want, give me $50 and I will repeat it. What you really want to spend money on is marketing and advertising. Which again, do not buy an E-book about it. If you go to Google and Yahoo and type in Marketing and Advertising, you can download free ebooks and blogs will even show you the most successful ways to market your product.

The most common affiliate marketing sites are paydotcom and clickbank.com . Affiliate Marketing is a very easy way to make money using $0. You can promote a product and use free advertising to market it.

When you make a few sales, or if you can't get a sale, try doing Paid Advertising such as paid email advertising or google adwords, or you can buy a cheap Adblaster which you will be able to use for free advertising for life! Affiliate marketing can easily generate thousands of dollars of income a month, advertising will be your biggest problem.

There is tons and tons of information you can write on Affiliate Marketing and I don't think this blog could handle that much. More on Affiliate Marketing

Project Payday is a very interesting idea to run. There is no cost to you and you can literally see money in your paypal account in as little as 20 min from the time you start. What this program does is utilize freesites. Everyone has seen those, get a free xbox, or free ipod ads. This is actually how most of those sites work:
1) You sign up for a prize
2) You complete "offers" usually between 1-4 before you are marked as done, a.k.a "green"
3) You refer friends to steps 1 and 2, but they are referred under you.

Now you may be thinking, I don't want to pester my friends to do this, or how would I make money doing this. These are simple questions as I don't like to bug my friends either. There are multiple forums out there that are promoting freesites like this, (www.freelunchroom.com, www.freebiesociety.com) just to name 2. You can do a number of things in order to make money like this. You can have people pay you to complete sites for them, and can make anywhere from $15-$100 per site that you do. I would suggest doing this to start as to make some quick cash to invest. After you have done this a few times you can use the sites that you have finished and than pay people to finish yours. If you are still confused here is a quick runthrough:

1) You sign up for a prize 2) You complete "offers" until are you "green"
3) You refer friends to do offers (they dont have to be the same ones)
4) You cashout in order to get your prize

This is a very easy method of making quick cash as it requires little amounts of time and can be done anywhere. When you have a good site portfolio built up and you are ready to pay people, you can literally only need to work for 30 min a day. Just send out messages to new referrals and thats it! There are hundreds of freesites to do and you can some multiple times. I give this program a 5 out of 5. This is an excellent source of quick income. Make sure all your first trades are with higher reputable people as you can easily be scammed.

Data Entry Jobs

Around 98% of online Data Entry Jobs are scams. They can usually cost $49.99 - $299.99. They are completely bogus. If you can make $1,300 a day online typing small forms, wouldn't everyone be doing it? Wouldn't there be a lot more rich people in the world? Think of it this way, if it sounds to good to be true than it probably is. If you are looking at Data Entry Jobs online then look no further...because your just going to waste your money. I myself have tried them and you know what you get for $50? An e-book, not just any e-book though. For the price of $50, you get an e-book you could have downloaded for free. Do not trust any "job" online where you have to pay to get started. If you were to work at McDonalds, they don't ask you to pay them to start there do they? Do not trust any Online Data Entry Job no matter how legitimate it may seem.

I give all these programs a 0 out of 5 because they are all terrible. If I could make $10,000 a week typing small ads, would there be anyone employed in normal jobs?

This is a new program. When you sign up for the site you pay $20 to your sponsor (randomly chosen or link from them), and than $20 to there sponsor. In addition you also pay $9.99 to the site administrator. You pay your $49 and then you are a member of there service. When someone signs up under you, you make $20, and than when they sign someone up, you will make an additonal $20.

This program is quite new, coming out in September 2007 I believe. The program claims to send you $20 again and again with no marketing or anything. Well yes, you can get $20 again and again, the system actually rotates who you pay when someone signs up, but if you want to make money you have to advertise...alot. The trick to this program is to get your site out there to try and get a few referrals, which in turn they will advertise and make you some money as well.

There is also "booster packs" you can sign up for which will make you residual income when your referrals sign up for these as well. I have had this program for around 2 months now and I have made 24 direct sales, and they have made a total of 30 sales. Giving me a total of 54 sales in 2 months. So I paid my $49 and in two months made back $1080. This program is very good to use. Using a few programs like this together will make a huge income each month and after the first month or so you really can work 30 min a week just throwing out ads.

If you like this program or want something similar but cheaper, check out the 6x6 million program. It will be the best $6 investment you ever made!

This program is actually filled with some great information. It offers a free e-book download which tells you some very useful information. The oppurtunity is great because the only thing that you have to worry about is marketing your link, however, marketing your link can be difficult enough.

Here is the site to download the free e-book: http://www.income4beginners.com/. I downloaded it and even used the system, and it took about 2 weeks to see any money come in, but I made over $200 in two weeks.

Its not great but for 2 weeks its not bad at all. Marketing your link is probably the biggest thing you have to worry about with this program. There are many free ways to market your link such as usfreeads.com but the best way to actually see any money coming in is to use email marketing (where you buy emails to send out your link).

The ebook comes with standard email marketing reports already written for you, the only thing you have to do is send them out.

Total Cost of Product: $40 - If using paid email marketing will cost you another $30-$100.

However, I still give this product 4 out of 5. It has some great information, the cost isn't to much, and can start generating income in as little as 1 to 2 weeks.
